COVID-19 Update

To Our Valued Patients,

With the COVID-19 pandemic concern, we have changed some of our office policies and procedures to make sure we are providing care in the safest way possible. Please read below to understand all processes prior and during your appointment to prepare you for the best experience.

  • Our facility is now equipped with Air Purification systems with true HEPA filter that captures 99.97% of air-borne pollutants and Plasma Wave sterilization capability.
  • ULV Fogging Machine with Vitula Biocide EPA registered hospital disinfectant cleaner will be used to disinfect treatment rooms and common areas.
  • To manage aerosols, we will be implementing additional high volume suction devices and pre-treatment rinses with hydrogen peroxide, as well as other antiviral/ antibacterial ingredients.

All employees at Rt 1 Dental are trained in all aspects of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines, and will be wearing additional PPE.

Dental personnel will be monitored for Covid-19 symptoms and their temperatures will be taken twice daily.

To prevent transmission to employees or other patients, we will contact the local health department immediately if we suspect patient or dental health care personnel has COVID-19.

We enhanced and reinforced our cleaning and disinfecting protocol in all treatment room and common areas focusing on high-touch areas and exceeding current CDC recommendations.

The hand sanitizing stations are established throughout the office to encourage hand hygiene. Waiting area seating is modified to ensure social distancing.

You will find the appropriate signage explaining the standards of respiratory hygiene and cough/sneeze etiquette.

Our waiting area will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and other items that may be hard to disinfect.

Scheduling:

  • We have significantly decreased the number of available appointments each day, to minimize the number of people in the office at one time.
  • We ask that you notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to keep an appointment so that we can offer that time to another patient.

Prior to your appointment:

  • All patients will be screened to determine COVID-19 risk. If you have significant risk factors or are likely to have COVID-19, you will be asked to reschedule.
  • We may ask you to fill out all necessary forms before your appointment. This will make your visit more efficient and will minimize the amount of time you need to spend in the office.

For your appointment:

  • Please arrive on time and call the office from your car for the instruction.
  • We may complete your screening and take your temperature before entering the building.
  • You will be asked to remain in your vehicle prior to your appointment and will be contacted by mobile phone when it is their turn to be seen and treatment room is ready.
  • We will ask you not to bring any companions with you to your appointment unless absolutely necessary. The companion will be screened in the same manner as the patient.
  • No companion is allowed in the treatment areas.
  • We ask that all patients wear facial coverings or masks while they are in the office, except when treatment is rendered.
  • Disposable pens will be provided to complete your paperwork.
