Biography

Since she started her cosmetic dental career in 1989, Dr, Trakhtman has created thousands of beautiful smiles, including clients in the entertainment industry. Some of her clients have appeared on the recent "Dancing with the Stars" TV show.

In 2004 Dr. Trakhtman’s office was chosen to provide dental care for the U.S. Army National Guard. "It was one of the most difficult times in the history of my cosmetic practice," Dr. Trakhtman said. "We were overwhelmed by the amount of dental work we had to provide to our soldiers in a very short period of time. We worked overtime, above and beyond our abilities, to finish the necessary dental treatment for the U.S. National Guardsmen before their deployment. Though we felt very proud of our accomplishments through the provided dental treatments for our soldiers, there were moments of overpowering sadness and tears when the time came to say goodbye to them"

Dr. Trakhtman became a cosmetic dentist in 1989, graduating from Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry, Russia’s leading dental school and center for the most prominent dental research in Europe. Additionally, she was awarded her doctor of dental surgery degree with high distinction in 1993 from the New York University College of Dentistry.

Moreover, Dr. Trakhtman is a longtime member of the American Dental Association and New Jersey Dental Association.

After dental school, she worked as an associate in leading cosmetic dental offices in New York City. In 1994, she established her first successful practice in New York. In 1996, she and her family moved to East Brunswick, New Jersey, where they enjoy the family-oriented small-town atmosphere. "Give Kids A Smile was a great success in our office, and I am proud to be part of the solution for the problem of access to oral health care for children from low-income families. On March 21, North Brunswick, Central NJ cosmetic dentist Irina Trakhtman was awarded with a proclamation from the mayor of North Brunswick in recognition of her contribution to the community. Gov. Dr. Trakhtman is an aspiring ballroom dancer and competes in International Latin style. When away from her busy office, Dr. Irina Trakhtman enjoys traveling with her husband and two children. She loves to challenge herself in hiking the steep hills of the mountains, rock climbing and rappelling into canyons while discovering the beauty of nature. "I love the extreme outdoor adventures because it gets me out of my comfort zone and improves my physical and mental strength," she said.
